MESSAGE
FROM THE PRESIDENT
The
last quarter of 2006 was focused on reminding our members of our theme
of the year : Towards Wellness. Hence,
our activities emphasized just that. We
reminded our members to take care of their bones (talk by orthopaedic
surgeon) and nutrition (Sessions with Prof. Madya Dr Zalilah bte Mohd
Shariff, from Universiti Putra We
are making tiny steps to give The BCSG Centre a new look. Many
thanks to our girls who not only spring cleaned but also
“beautified” The Centre. I
would like to say a BIG TQ to all members who have contributed so much
to THE BCSG, especially those who are always behind the scene. My
wish for 2007? Ask
not what The BCSG can do for you, but ask what YOU can do for The BCSG,
so that more can be done. Good
health to all.
And a VERY happy new year.

the girls were so hooked to knitting that they have been doing
one project after another on their own.
- Decorative Ketupat :
Conducted by Rasahadah and Juria.
We learnt to make very colourful ribbon ketupat at these classes. - Rag Doll :
Conducted by Sin Foong. Members
made cute rag dolls using remnant material. - Decorative items from bead and headbands with beads :

Special thanks to Aunty Agnes of Cheras, KL who contributed beads and ideas to The BCSG. SEMINARS November
2006 – SEMINAR IN Our
President, Doris Boo, attended a global seminar
for Leaders of
Breast Cancer Support Groups
in KEEP OUR PREMISES CLEAN While
members are welcome to help themselves to drinks and snacks in the
kitchen, please note that we do not have a maid so all members are
requested to do their part in keeping the kitchen and premises clean. This
means cleaning up after yourselves, like washing up coffee cups and
picking up litter. It is sad
to note that there are members who leave used cups lying around when
they leave the Centre expecting others to clean up for them.
A BIG THANK YOUSome of you may have noticed some changes
in the Centre. Thinks are
nicely stored away and rearranged for maximum use of space.
We have to thank a special group of people who volunteered their
time and effort (not to mention muscles) to do this.
They are Luan Eng, Pau Lin, Lili and Jenny and Geok
Hua and all who gave a hand.
Well done ladies!!! They
had done this very willingly in response to the President’s request to
do spring-cleaning for 2007. øøøøø |
